Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. Currently, our SIS allows students to enter their preferred name but Accudemia does not have space for the name to be listed. This is especially complex for our transgender students who may be identifying as a different gender than their name may suggest.

  2. The issue for our school is that we have been mandated to use only Microsoft Teams for our meeting platform. Microsoft Teams unfortunately only offers individual links per meeting so we cannot even use the standard "ConnectLink" for our meetings and have to send a link in the Appointment Notes. Although this system works it is tedious for our Tutors to keep up with and maintain. An integration that would automatically generate the link for students would be awesome!

  4. Right now when the Intake system is turned on every person is through into the waiting line. Instead if you could set up the waiting line to be built based on a service. So if you have two services Tutoring and Computer Use. The Tuoring people would go into the line and the people using Computers would by pass the line.

    We currently offer this but you have to view the intake system to see the service.  We will add a service filter to the intake system/manage center screen to make this easier

  5. Allow for the pronoun field of an account's name badge to be added into email templates. Tutors and students have asked us for this feature.

  6. In order to be able to create instructional guides, presentations, and videos, administrators need to be able to have the same view as other users (students, tutors, and instructors). For example, I need to be able to train my tutors to use the system, but I can't even see what they see from my account. I have all four roles, but my view is always the administrator view.

  7. I would like to see a Course Coverage view in Accudemia to see what Tutors are available on a Calendar for specific Subject Areas. This would ensure that I have Tutors scheduled to cover all times through out the Center open times.

  9. Please allow an option to make students add comments when making an appointment. Right now it is optional, but we would like to ability to make it mandatory to add comments depending on center.

  10. Currently Appointments has a month, and Session Logs has the last 7 days. Staff who manage an active center have to change those to Today repeatedly.

    Wouldn't Today be a better default for this very important Use Case?

  11. We would like the ability to personalize the notifications for the support drop-box function. Including choosing where the email comes from. Currently, it cannot be customized to use our own wording and comes from Accudemia rather than our campus and the wording doesn't match the terminology we customized for the drop box.

  12. Our college has several learning centers using Accudemia. Each has unique needs and ways in which they operate. Therefore, each center needs to control the number of services allowed to be selected at sign-in. This is currently a college-level control and thus this has to be uniform for all centers. However, some centers would prefer to limit this to only one service, others want to allow students to select multiple services.

  13. We are having Tutors accidentally connect to the O365 Integration and not showing up as available for appointments. Please allow us as admin to disable this feature account wide.

When a student chooses a group/workshop as a service, they should have the ability to see the available groups/workshops by title/topic, not by facilitator, otherwise they do not know what group they are signing up for. If your college is like ours, then you probably have many different workshop topics/titles, and creating a specific service for each one is not ideal, as we do not want students to have to scroll through a long list to find what they need.   15. Let students book a weekly appointment for the whole semester even when the system is to allow students to boo a session only up to 14 days in advance. For students who want to book weekly for the whole semester it is a real hassle to have to come back every week or two to rebook and maybe find their time has been taken.   16. Show preferred name at kiosk and in logs for students.

    We have students, trans and otherwise, who do not go by the legal name on their transcripts. It is extremely disruptive to them when accudemia deadnames them every time the legal name overrides thier preferred name. For example I have a tutor who goes by a different name and he has to tell students his deadname whenever they signout and have to select a tutor. It makes the center look like an unsafe space.

  18. We need a report that shows how many hours each tutor is scheduled in our center each week (how many hours they are available). It would also provide the total number of hours scheduled each week for the center overall. This will help us in regards to tracking our student worker budget.

  20. There is already a global option for this. It would be nice to be able to set this option for individual tutors. For example if a tutor wants to only do 6 appointments per week but has availability for 10 slots, then have a setting so that once that tutor is scheduled for 6 appointments there can be no more appointments scheduled that week.
