Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

Thanks for sending us your feedback!

  1. We often need to adjust schedules after the fact, for example, when a tutor calls out sick or comes in late. If we are even one minute into the time block (for us it's 30 minutes), we cannot make any changes, including blocking that tutor's availability, adding a substitute tutor, adding subject areas, increasing the number of students, etc, until the next time block.

  2. There is already a global option for this. It would be nice to be able to set this option for individual tutors. For example if a tutor wants to only do 6 appointments per week but has availability for 10 slots, then have a setting so that once that tutor is scheduled for 6 appointments there can be no more appointments scheduled that week.

  3. Add options to view the Session Logs that Tutors have "not completed the assessment" or "have completed it". This would help without having to run the report.

  4. Hi! Could you please add a way to copy over a tutor's schedule from an old semester to the new one?

  5. We need a report that shows how many hours each tutor is scheduled in our center each week (how many hours they are available). It would also provide the total number of hours scheduled each week for the center overall. This will help us in regards to tracking our student worker budget.

  6. Under Manage Center, it would be great to have the option to see "All" under location, the same way we can for Session Logs. Trying to see who is in each of our centers would be much easier if it was all on one screen. Currently, it allows us to select, but shows "Location is not valid."

  7. Currently, we only have the option to include students' primary or secondary IDs in reports and in exports of session logs. It would be helpful if this option were also available for tutor information so we can cross-reference Accudemia data with our own records. This is currently very difficult to do as reports and session log exports use only tutors' chosen names (which do not match our records) or an internally created system ID that we do not have access to.

  8. Occasionally we lose our network or internet connection. With our old tracking system, students would log attendance on a sheet of paper, and when the system came back up, we'd manually enter the hours. We would like Accudemia to add such a feature.

  9. The Attendance by Class report currently only allows you to filter by Location, but it would be really nice to have the filter entitled "Locations and Services" so that you can combine services from different locations.

  10. Right now, I have to give tutors administrative access to change no shows to present. Please make this part of the tutor role, rather than an admin only role. This way, tutors can change attendance status after an appointment has occurred without being made administrators.

  11. You should place all notes as the last column in session logs and appointment downloads. When there are multiple comments or long file names, they force data from subsequent columns into a new row, which mucks up the CSV and requires a lot of reorganization.

  12. We want to see an audit trail for session logs. Did the student sign in themselves via a kiosk or was this manually entered (and if so, by who)? We had a student session log that was dated in the future and have no idea how it got there. We can't troubleshoot the issue if we don't know who made the log.

  13. Currently, some homepage modules only take 50% of the page but take a whole line. Other modules take 100% of the screen but would be better if only took 50% of the screen. An example: The new "Events" module could be combined with the "Calendar" module on a single line for better use of space.

  14. We would like to be able to set specific appointment length times (or start length times) by different Services. For example, we do academic coaching for 30 minutes and tutoring for 60 minutes. Right now, we only have one option for starting services and that time has to be all the same length. We have the ability to create appointments that are different lengths but b/c they are different we can’t actually schedule them. If we have starting services every 60 minutes, then for our 30 minute appointments (like coaching) when we go to schedule, it will only show appointments…

  15. Currently, only weekly appointment settings can be set per center. Some centers are very busy, and would therefore benefit from a daily appointment cap as it would allow them to ensure that students cannot make back-to-back appointments or several appointments in a single day.

  17. As center administrators, we spend all day using four or five of the functions in Accudemia to monitor and manage appointments. The functions we need exist in the system, but we do a lot of repetitive clicking that might be avoidable. Would Engineerica designers consider conducting a user study? I’m sure some administrators would be glad to record and narrate the interactions we have with the system over some minutes, and it could reveal ways to significantly enhance the everyday administrative experience in the system.

  18. It would be great to have a default recurring setting by service. That way whether the student books online or the center schedules it for student, if the pick a service that is weekly recurring (like tutoring and academic coaching meeting), it will automatically schedule it as recurring through the end of the semester. Right now, we have it limited so that if students book online themselves for these types of services, they can only see a week out and will schedule a one time appointment. The center then must run reports to see which students booked online for a…

  19. When editing announcements in dark mode, the WYSIWYG editor does not have an option to also be in dark mode. This means that when I am checking contrast, especially for link color, I cannot tell if what I've chosen will work until after publication. Can the WYSIWYG editor have a dark mode?

  20. Currently, exports of User Accounts do not include the scope that accounts are set to. The only way to view an account's scope is to open individual User Account information. This makes the tutor account settings verification process very tedious.
