Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. We can already define the times that appointments are available at the Single Center account we have but no way to limit when walk-in or drop-in tutoring is available.

  2. Is it possible in iAccu to specify a fixed classroom on a device? You can set a fixed center. If the instructors sync the device after each class, in setting the device for the next class, they might select the wrong classroom. I would like the user experience to be as turn-key as possible.

For both types of restrictions (Student-Tutor Associations and Service-Subject Area Associations), it would be more functional if we could create negative restrictions rather than positive associations. I.e. if the default were that anything that didn't have an association was unrestricted, so that only the associations we actively create have an effect, and if associations could be set up for which courses a service would NOT work with and which tutors a student could NOT book.   5. As a supervisor who is not physically in the same space as the lab I have been tasked to supervise, one of the most important features of this software is to help monitor and enforce tutor timeliness and attendance.

    It would be great if a reminder email could automatically be sent to students 15 minutes before each shift to let them know their shift is approaching.

  6. Most students carry their smart phone everywhere they go. Allowing them to create appointments without having to access a computer would be very helpful.

  8. We have for example a certain center that we only want users from a particular group to be able to use. There is no classes associated with this center. The only distinguishing these students have is that they are part of a scholarship program that has an area that is funded by grants. Only these students should be able to checkin to this center.

  9. College wide we use Microsoft Calendar to see who is available for meetings. It would be nice for Accudemia to have a way to merge with Microsoft Calendar to get a real look at peoples availability who are using Accudemia.

  10. The ability to limit an instructor from accessing visits reports would be awesome. We currently send the data at the end of the semester, but do not want them to have constant, unlimited access to this data. Additionally, they have access to see all students that are in the system, not just their own students. While they cannot pull center usage for students not enrolled in their course, they should not have access to full student data (names and ID numbers).

  12. We have multiple offices using Accudemia. Each has its own appointment scheduling policies. Some centers allow students to schedule back-to-back appointments other do not. Allowing this restriction (and all others concerning appointments, for that matter) to be overwritten at the center level would allow each office to determine the best way for students to make appointments.

  14. It would help if there was a bulk sign-in/sign-out upload of .csv file feature for a specific center via the Data Exchange tool. These sessions tend to be either online or held in a space without a sign-in computer.

  15. We can generate a report for a group of tutors (by current term). That report shows their ID, Name, Gender and Birthdate. We don't need to see gender and birthdate. We would like to see the Contact info: E-mail and Phone number. This would be a much more useful list for coordinators and support staff.

  16. Can only search by one status currently. Would be helpful to select multiple criteria such as new, follow-up, requires attention but not closed, for example.

  18. It would be helpful if there was a button or something so that you could alphabetize the list of students that are signed into a center so that you could find them easier. Doing Ctrl-f is not very convenient.
