Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. Currently, you can specify subject area assignments for each tutor, but not assign tutors to services. This means that every schedule block for every tutor needs to be set manually when adding the schedule. This is time consuming and creates the probability that mistakes will be make, and students will end up booking appointments with tutors who can't help them. We should be able to specify service assignments for tutors, or at least specify a default when they create new schedule blocks, rather than it defaulting to all services.

  2. We really need the ability to call Tutors in the system Advisors and Subject Areas to Majors without affecting the other Centers using this software.

  4. There are actually a few ideas with this but it all revolves around appointment creation.

    1. Creating Appointments via New by Staff
      When you select a center the Staff section should be filtered by which staff work in that center. Currently you can select a center and pick ANY staff even if that staff does not work in that center.

    2. Creating Appointment via Wizard
      After choosing subject area the next selection should be center instead of services. This way when you get to the services screen only the services for that center show instead of showing every service. By adding the…

  6. Feedback from faculty would like iAccu to have the capability to require students to sign out of the class like in the center. This feature would be optional at the class level. This would help to inhibit the "swipe and go" student.

  7. Under Traffic Analysis right now users can get exact counts of users by day. But an average over a length of time would be helpful to determine how busy centers are for that same length of time.

    Example
    Now:
    Time Peroid - 5 weeks
    M - 100
    T - 200
    W -150
    R - 100
    F - 150

    Suggested
    Time Peroid - 5 weeks
    M - 20
    T - 40
    W -30
    R - 20
    F - 30

  8. I would like to be able to put "In Class" and "Gone for today" as options for the tutor's schedule so that students and I can see when they're not available to work due to class and when they're not able to make it in for their shift. The only current options are "Available" "Not Available" and "Not Working".

  9. According to your 8/3/2010 blog it was under development and now it is 7 years later. Many, if not most, ERPs run in Linux. I can't imagine my institution is the only one not happy about having to have an intermediary Windows server for transferring files. Thank you for listening.

  10. Some instructors also take courses, but their account gets deactivated when they are no longer enrolled. Ignoring the deactivation checkbox when a student account has additional user roles would prevent this.

  13. Based on the student's schedule, the system would know when the student would be eligible to go off-campus, to the cafeteria, or to the library. If the student tries to scan in to the cafeteria when they are supposed to be in class, a bold and big alert would pop up to indicate that they cannot enter the cafeteria but need to go to class. This is a feature that is in Accutrack, but we request this feature to be added to Accudemia.

  14. For our tutoring assessment forms, we don't have the ability to include section numbers, and many of our instructors teach multiple sections of the same class, so there is a lot of leg work in including the section number on our side or theirs.

    Being able to choose what information I can get in my reports would be incredibly beneficial to the instructors and myself. At the moment, I find most of the pre-determined reports to be lacking in vital information.

  15. Currently I can only limit the Subject Areas to show based on the Subject Areas we offer assistance with at the Center. I would like to be able to define what Student Groups can utilize specified Services for Walk-ins or Appointments.

  16. Since we have tutors for different content areas (Math, Science, Business, and Computer Science), I would like to be able to generate a daily viewer by the content area of the tutors. It would also work to make the option to select multiple tutors when looking at the tutor schedule. That way I can let students know when there would be someone in the center to help with a certain subject.

  17. We have two issues with the “Staff Pay Report” (Tutor Hours Report) in PDF. The first issue is that the report creates blank. The second issue is that, after printing the blank page, sometimes the first line is overlapping the second line.

  20. When students reach the survey question, all they see is a blank with the down arrow...once they click it, they see the options. I would prefer to eliminate the first click and see the options immediately.
