Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. I am deploying a campus-wide student attendance-tracking system. I will be using iPads and iAccu to serve as attendance kiosks. With 30+ classrooms across campus, I would like the capability to have iAccu auto-sync at the end of the day, or for Accudemia to have the capability to request the iPads to sync.

  2. Now that this feature has been added, our devices don't keep an adequate charge. Turning off wireless helped but now we are missing a device and cannot use Find my iPhone feature to locate it. This is a security issue for us.

  3. When Accudemia is running slowly students assume that the system is down because they do not see the "Loading" message. Currently the message is incredibly small and in the upper right hand corner of the screen. It would be helpful if it was larger and in the center of the screen.

  4. At sign-in, users must make a selection, go down and click Next...then at the next option screen..make another selection, go down and click Next...etc, could you make it an option that the selection will move to the next screen throughout the sign-in process?

  5. Can you enlarge the size of the center services window so that it is easier to see the options? Anything over 5 of 6 services gives you a scroll down window that you cannor resize.

  6. a simplified attendance by instructor report that has the same filters (instructor & subject) but does not have each individual visit for students, just their total time. Many find the details of each sign in/out too much when they just want to see how much time students spent in the center

  7. Appointments - View All - Option to view Cancelled & Voided appointments - Suggestion to color code (maybe the line is highlighted?) voided/cancelled appointments so they are viewed easier

  8. For virtual centers with no physical meeting space, it makes no sense to require sign-ins and sign-outs. An automatic sign-in/sign-out option would be very helpful.

  9. It'd be nice to be able to tie specific tutors to a specific Center and then be able to set different Center hours instead of it being controlled at the School level. In our case, our administrative hours close at 5pm but our tutoring sessions can go until 7pm. In order to open that time slot, I have to do it at the School level and it opens up all tutor schedules to accidentally making themselves available for a time that their center is closed.

  11. I would like to have the ability to hide (a check box would be great) classroom attendance and classroom absences from students and instructors. This is a feature we are not currently using at our institution.

  12. We are using single sign on to allow students to check their own hours through our portal. Set it up so that students have location and subject filters if they want to see only the hours they have in a particular location or course.

  15. News items on the home page are the same for all users. Would like to have the ability to show news items that can be different based on user roles. (e.g., tutors would see news about something they need to do or complete whereas students would see news that pertains directly to them and/or the center.

Under "Center Attendance" --> "Appointments" --> "View All" in the "Search" section on the left-hand side, currently you can select to see appointments for "Today" and "Yesterday" but in order to see appointments for tomorrow, you must select "Custom Range". Having a "Tomorrow" function would help when checking a tutor's availability.

  17. Ability to download a Survey Results report that when viewed in Excel, CSV shows each question as a column heading and each row shows one person's response to each question.

  19. My Tutors think that they've added to their "Session Comments" in the Session Logs but have actually just updated the "Appointment Notes" in the Appointment "View All" section. To avoid confusion in the similar looking screens maybe this button should reflect "Notes."

  20. Once the referral has been closed you have to either pull the report or reopen the referral in order to view what happened. We should have an option to see all the referral notes as Admins even if the referral is closed.
