Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

As part of the California Community College system (116 colleges, the largest system of public higher education), we are required to submit tutoring usage each quarter/semester as follows: Student name (Last, First) | Student ID number | Total Time. TOTAL time is the full sum of all the tutoring visits by student. The closest report is Center Attendance --> Attendance by Students but this shows each tutoring session and a sub-total for each student. Then we have to manually select the three pieces of required info (name, ID, total) using an Excel formula for the hundred (plus) students that received…

  2. Develop LTI for Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc. This would allow students to pass through their course to make an appointment, join session, etc.

  3. Need to add Student ID numbers to Survey Completions report to allow IR Department to compare data in our SIS system that is not uploaded to Accudemia.

  4. Consider adding sort headers for last name, first name, assigned to, instructor, date, etc. so entries can be sorted. It's difficult to identify when multiple referrals exist for the same student without the ability to sort on screen.

  5. For a variety of reasons, we would find it helpful to be able to suspend or pause access to Accudemia services for students. We can currently inactivate them but that inactivation will be removed overnight with our data upload.

  7. I would like a report to show tutor coverage per course on a weekly basis. This would help when building out new semesters. I would also like to be able to pull a monthly report that shows tutor schedule exceptions (when they were blocked out versus when they were scheduled to be in).

  8. Instead of going through the process of exporting all my students to import them in to be deactivated. And then importing my students with an "Active" field we should have an option to simply deactivate students not on the import. This would help us stay within our license limits too.

  10. Our Intake Screen is displayed for students waiting. For security reasons, it would preferable to have the option to customize the Intake Screen and thereby hide the ID column. Thanks,

  11. Currently, if you select "Tutor is assigned to all subject areas" the Tutor Assignments tab disappears. I have some writing tutors who need to be assigned to everything except ESL. Currently, I have to page through 80 screens to select those subjects. If the Tutor Assignment tabs remains active, then I could just deselect the few ESL classes that should not be assigned to them.

  12. You already have this report with visits so it should be very easy to add it by unique visitors.
    Add Report: Unique Visitor by Day. Should exist under traffic analysis Under the traffic analysis, (Student Reports> List based> visit by week)

  13. We would like to be able to have the ability to create links to schedule an appointment with a certain center. If there was a way to create a option in the center control panel to create a link for that center and post that on a website so when the student clicks the link it opens the new appointment screen and automatically chooses the center for them.

  14. Tutor's My Schedule view not showing any details

    When I (as a tutor) look at my schedule, I only see the duration of scheduled appointments. It would be very useful to have the same pop-up as our Center Administrators see in the Daily Viewer when they mouse over an appointment.

  16. In the email templates we can put key field values into the Subject line. It'd be great to be able to put them in the From line as well. That way we can be more specific, e.g. From: #Appointment_Center# at the College.

  19. I would like to have the ability to create a unique link for a sign-in station and not the cookie method. We use cheap Chromebooks as sign-in station computers and when the Chromebooks restart, they lose the cookie due to the kiosk mode we are using. I can set up the Chromebook to automatically load a predetermined link for each center using the google admin console. By using a unique link I would not have to set it up every time it reboots.

  20. Our virtual services include some tutors who have sessions using Google Chat and we would like to include some how-to information in the appointment emails. Other colleges could have different information related to tutors that is pertinent to appointments. If a Description field could be added and made available in Email Templates, it would enable us to provide that tutor-information to students without extra communications.
