Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. Currently, Cast Screen (under Manage Center) only shows students waiting in line.

    Students often panic and get confused when their name disappears. They think they got kicked out of line. Usually, this means an advisor has signed them in and they are going to be called shortly (which they can't see and causes a lot of front desk traffic about where their name went or if there in line).

    It would be helpful for students to be able to see a waiting line and a currently being seen/check-in section.

    We will make it so that when a student is signed-in from the wait line we will change the time waited to "Now serving" and this will stay on the screen for 3 minutes.

  2. Some instructors also take courses, but their account gets deactivated when they are no longer enrolled. Ignoring the deactivation checkbox when a student account has additional user roles would prevent this.

  5. AccuSQL had a field in which you could create different tutor levels/types and assign them differing pay rates. These levels were used by us to indicate those who had gone through intermediate and advanced tutor training, which would be helpful to have again. We also planned on looking into using Accudemia to track hours worked for our desk workers, peer guides, and SI leaders, each of whom may have different pay rates.

  6. Currently I can only limit the Subject Areas to show based on the Subject Areas we offer assistance with at the Center. I would like to be able to define what Student Groups can utilize specified Services for Walk-ins or Appointments.

  8. Specifically the Referral Summary and the Session Log with Surveys Results Incl. Student Data reports. That would allow me to schedule the export of those to be saved in a specified directory as opposed to the scheduled email of those reports.

  9. Right now, it is challenging to balance tutor schedules since a student ultimately will select the first time on the list that works for them (when other tutors may also be available at that same time). This leads to the first person alphabetically usually getting more appointments over someone else. Could a setting be created where the system randomizes the tutors' availability each time the student searches so that it might even out who is getting booked with appointments?

  10. When the student signs out, it would be nice if they were sent an email automatically (same as when they make their appointment) that contains the details of the session (date, time, focus, etc) and any comments/session logs put in for that session.

  11. I would like to be able to put "In Class" and "Gone for today" as options for the tutor's schedule so that students and I can see when they're not available to work due to class and when they're not able to make it in for their shift. The only current options are "Available" "Not Available" and "Not Working".

  13. We have two issues with the “Staff Pay Report” (Tutor Hours Report) in PDF. The first issue is that the report creates blank. The second issue is that, after printing the blank page, sometimes the first line is overlapping the second line.

  14. We have some issues about improving the Accudemia Sign In Screen. Our goal is to avoid confusion for our students whom automatically select “Guest Sign In” instead of the “Arrow” for sign in. The tracking information that we collected is incorrect for the reason that some students to have sign in again in the correct form in order to get tutoring. However, the guest tracking information continues in the system, so it is double

    1. Surveys should have an email for the survey to go out.

    2. Having a multiple "Show at" selection option would be great.

    Example: Student is attending tutoring sessions because of an upcoming exam. We want to measure the effectiveness of our tutoring session. A survey goes out immediately after the session, but then another survey can go out 1 week later to see how well the student did on the exam.

  15. Since we have tutors for different content areas (Math, Science, Business, and Computer Science), I would like to be able to generate a daily viewer by the content area of the tutors. It would also work to make the option to select multiple tutors when looking at the tutor schedule. That way I can let students know when there would be someone in the center to help with a certain subject.

  16. Adding "Groups" as a filter for reports under "Referral Details". This is something that can be done with other reports, but not this one. This is is where it would help to have it. This would make filter information to the key groups easier and save time. Since it can be done for other reports, I'm hoping it can be something that can be added to this.

  18. Under Traffic Analysis right now users can get exact counts of users by day. But an average over a length of time would be helpful to determine how busy centers are for that same length of time.

  19. This option would allow students to share a file that they may have needed to complete for the appointment or tutors to share resources critical to the tutoring about to take place.
