Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. When students are in session, but haven't met the minimum rules yet (for example they don't get checked in until a set required number of minutes has passed) -- it shows as no-show. That's okay, now that I know that. But what WOULD be nice is if the little pop-up informational sentence you get when you hover over the red house icon said that too. Right now that sentence just says, "The student has an appointment, but is a no-show." THAT IS CONFUSING. Please have it say something like "The student has an appointment, but is either a no-show OR…

    We will need to add a third status "In-session" that gets assigned when the student signs-in and gets updated to "Show" or "No-show" when the student signs-out.

  2. Under the location option add in an option to select services also. I know there is an option by service in the report but it just lumps them into a total. If they could be selected with the location then the numbers for
    By week
    By day of the week
    By day and hour of the week
    By hour and day of the week
    could be filtered for services that are no longer offered to compare to current offerings.

  3. Please make a way for tutors to send reports to the instructor right from the Session Assessment. We used to contract with TutorTrac, and one feature they had that we really liked was that the tutor could leave notes/assessment on the session, click "save," and then have the option to email the instructor via a button right in the same window. This was very convenient!

  4. Can we edit the virtual sign-in links past just the description and expiration date? I cannot locate where I put the link or need to update the link it connects to, can we edit the connect link and have access to the sign-in link after we create the link?

  5. For the report "Appointments - Comments" you should be able to filter by course so you can create a report for an instructor and they could see the appointments with comments for all their students. Also it would be nice for the report to be called "Appointments - Notes" as this matches the "Notes" language from the appointment information.

  6. Create a waiting list for when tutoring appointments for a given course are are all booked. When students want to sign-up for a tutoring appointment, but the appointments are already booked up by other students, create a feature where students can sign-up to receive a notification when appointments become available if students cancel their appointments or if new open tutoring appointments are added. This would allow center admin to track how many students are in the waiting list and so consider whether to open up more tutoring appointments and also for tutoring appointments could be utilized more because students who…

  7. Create an option for centers to set a late cancellation policy. For example, students must cancel X minutes/hours before the policy, otherwise it is noted as a "late cancellation." They can still cancel, but after Y # of late cancellations in a given Z # of days, their account will be locked until a center administrator unlocks it. For example, the policy could be that students must cancel at least 1 hour before their appointment or it will be noted as a late cancellation and if they have three late cancellations in 90 days, their account will be locked.   8. The attendance summary report has the key information that we need, but we need to be able to filter that report by user group, which is not currently available. Essentially, we need to see the number of visits for each user group, not just the total time used, which is not available in any of the current reports.

  9. We have asynchronous writing support for our students, but there is only the option for in-person or online modalities. We currently have it set as online; however, many students are confused and think this means there is a time they will meet with someone online.

  10. We would like to track who does what in the system. Currently, the system only shows actions done regarding appointments. However, it would be useful to know who creates/edits session logs, signs students in, and makes any other changes.

  11. Currently, when I assign a restriction or an association to one student it blocks ALL students in the institution from being able to book with any peer educators. The current logic set up is that I would need to assign peer educators to every student. As a school with over 25k+ students, I cannot assign every student enrolled to every peer educator who fits their needs. We currently split our student population between Accudemia and MS Bookings because we serve specific student populations who qualify for our tutoring, but if we had their tutors in Accudemia then anyone at the…

  13. We currently have tutors and students who tutor online only in different time zones from our institution. It would be really nice for users if Accudemia's time zone could change to reflect the user's current time zone.

  14. While we want students to be able to schedule themselves for tutoring, writing lab, and academic coaching appointments, we do not want students to be able to schedule themselves for testing. Our Accessibility Resources Center would like to schedule and closely monitor all testing and not have testing visible to students. It would be nice if we check a box or toggle to make a service invisible to students/only visible to admins.

  15. This would allow Accudemia to block tutors' existing meetings for our Google school which uses Google Office Suite exclusively. There's no way for us to use the existing Office Outlook 365 integration that is offered.

  16. Rescheduling appointment-remove ability for student to edit time & duration of the appointment when the Center has fixed start & duration set up. Students currently go through the whole process of rescheduling, having the ability to change the start time or the duration, then get an "invalid" when they go to set the appointment. This is frustrating for the student. The option should be removed to make the process for the student clear and straight forward.

  17. We would like the ability to change the default Period in both Session Logs and Virtual Sign-In Links. "Current Semester" would be a good one to add, but being able to select any of the options and set it as default would be really helpful.

  20. Under Control Panel>Walk-Ins, the tutor availability drop down menu does not have the choice of 'Show Signed-In Only'. This choice would improve efficiency. Thank you.
