Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. I would like to be able to put "In Class" and "Gone for today" as options for the tutor's schedule so that students and I can see when they're not available to work due to class and when they're not able to make it in for their shift. The only current options are "Available" "Not Available" and "Not Working".

  2. Appointments who are signed in appear in red (a no show color) until they are signed out and then turn to blue. It can be confusing for signed in students to appear in red as a no show when they are actually in session. Perhaps appointments can appear green while their in session until they are signed out and go back to blue.

  3. When we are assigning the tutors subject areas in Accudemia it is difficult to quickly find the subjects because that page does not display the Subject Area Prefix+Code (i.e. MAT-101). I think it would be a great help if that column was added to this screen. :)

  5. You already have this report with visits so it should be very easy to add it by unique visitors.
    Add Report: Unique Visitor by Day. Should exist under traffic analysis Under the traffic analysis, (Student Reports> List based> visit by week)

  6. When looking at all appointments for a Center, you should be able to sort by service type. It's so much more useful than by student or tutor.

  7. We need a report that shows how many hours each tutor is scheduled in our center each week (how many hours they are available). It would also provide the total number of hours scheduled each week for the center overall. This will help us in regards to tracking our student worker budget.

  10. Right now, it is challenging to balance tutor schedules since a student ultimately will select the first time on the list that works for them (when other tutors may also be available at that same time). This leads to the first person alphabetically usually getting more appointments over someone else. Could a setting be created where the system randomizes the tutors' availability each time the student searches so that it might even out who is getting booked with appointments?

  11. By adding a "Display Position Number" in a drop-down box with the number of announcements currently in Accudemia it would be a simple way to allow a College Administrator to organize the announcements that get displayed on the "My Homepage" screen when the users login.

  12. For example, my writing tutors could have a checklist of common writing issues so they can indicate what was worked on. Coaching sessions need their own sort of assessment as well. All of these happen in the same physical center but the services are very distinct.

  13. Under Traffic Analysis right now users can get exact counts of users by day. But an average over a length of time would be helpful to determine how busy centers are for that same length of time.

    Example
    Now:
    Time Peroid - 5 weeks
    M - 100
    T - 200
    W -150
    R - 100
    F - 150

    Suggested
    Time Peroid - 5 weeks
    M - 20
    T - 40

    F - 30

  15. Student Alternate IDs can be included in an upload. It would be great to be able to do this with instructor alternate IDs as well. Our instructors typically use an alternate and not their ID number for systems. Most don't even know it. Doing this manually seems tedious and unnecessary.

  16. AccuSQL had a field in which you could create different tutor levels/types and assign them differing pay rates. These levels were used by us to indicate those who had gone through intermediate and advanced tutor training, which would be helpful to have again. We also planned on looking into using Accudemia to track hours worked for our desk workers, peer guides, and SI leaders, each of whom may have different pay rates.

  17. We have some issues about improving the Accudemia Sign In Screen. Our goal is to avoid confusion for our students whom automatically select “Guest Sign In” instead of the “Arrow” for sign in. The tracking information that we collected is incorrect for the reason that some students to have sign in again in the correct form in order to get tutoring.   18. We have two issues with the “Staff Pay Report” (Tutor Hours Report) in PDF. The first issue is that the report creates blank. The second issue is that, after printing the blank page, sometimes the first line is overlapping the second line.

  19. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are all critical to the field of public education as the student populace grows increasingly diverse. I think a "Preferred Name" feature within the User Accounts menu would be a critical addition. The "Preferred Name" feature would take precedence over the current "First Name" option, and it would be used as the display name when the client's name or tutor's name is displayed to another user (such as on the scheduling menu, upcoming appointments window, confirmation emails, etc.).

  20. Adding "Groups" as a filter for reports under "Referral Details". This is something that can be done with other reports, but not this one. This is is where it would help to have it. This would make filter information to the key groups easier and save time. Since it can be done for other reports, I'm hoping it can be something that can be added to this.
