Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. I'd like a report that allows me to see appointments that were scheduled on a particular day/range (i.e., appointments students scheduled yesterday). This is different than the currently existing options to report on appointments scheduled for a certain date/range (i.e., appointments students scheduled for tomorrow). This would be really helpful as a new Accudemia user as we're making updates to restrictions, offerings, etc. to see if they're working as intended in our real world application rather than only in limited testing scenarios.

  2. The upcoming appointments displays the times of the upcoming appointments but does not display the date. The display seems as though the upcoming appointments are on the same day. The message in # days is very small - a date would be better.

  3. Under Center Attendance -> Tutor Schedule, all the modes display with weeks beginning on Monday and ending on Sunday. Every other calendar in Accudemia has a Sunday-Saturday format. There should be consistency, with the weekly calendar in the Tutor Schedule section being displayed Sunday-Saturday.

  4. The Attendance Summary report has exactly the information we need for each course (# of unique students and total visits), but we can only filter by location. Our location has multiple services that support the same courses, and we'd like to be able to look at data separately for each service.

  5. Show preferred name at kiosk and in logs for students.

    We have students, trans and otherwise, who do not go by the legal name on their transcripts. It is extremely disruptive to them when accudemia deadnames them every time the legal name overrides thier preferred name. For example I have a tutor who goes by a different name and he has to tell students his deadname whenever they signout and have to select a tutor. It makes the center look like an unsafe space.

  6. In order to be able to create instructional guides, presentations, and videos, administrators need to be able to have the same view as other users (students, tutors, and instructors). For example, I need to be able to train my tutors to use the system, but I can't even see what they see from my account. I have all four roles, but my view is always the administrator view.

  7. When editing announcements in dark mode, the WYSIWYG editor does not have an option to also be in dark mode. This means that when I am checking contrast, especially for link color, I cannot tell if what I've chosen will work until after publication. Can the WYSIWYG editor have a dark mode?

  8. Currently, only weekly appointment settings can be set per center. Some centers are very busy, and would therefore benefit from a daily appointment cap as it would allow them to ensure that students cannot make back-to-back appointments or several appointments in a single day.

When a student chooses a group/workshop as a service, they should have the ability to see the available groups/workshops by title/topic, not by facilitator, otherwise they do not know what group they are signing up for. If your college is like ours, then you probably have many different workshop topics/titles, and creating a specific service for each one is not ideal, as we do not want students to have to scroll through a long list to find what they need. The scheduling system should be able to allow the facilitator's schedule to include the topic/title they are teaching and show…

  10. Tutors fill out tutor assessments for all emailed essays, which are currently recorded in session logs. I send reports of the tutor assessments to instructors. We would like to explore using the support drop box instead of emailed essays but tutors cannot fill out tutor assessments on tickets. Can we add tutor assessments similar to session logs in the closed ticket section?

  11. The attendance summary report has the key information that we need, but we need to be able to filter that report by user group, which is not currently available. Essentially, we need to see the number of visits for each user group, not just the total time used, which is not available in any of the current reports.

  12. Our college has several learning centers using Accudemia. Each has unique needs and ways in which they operate. Therefore, each center needs to control the number of services allowed to be selected at sign-in. This is currently a college-level control and thus this has to be uniform for all centers. However, some centers would prefer to limit this to only one service, others want to allow students to select multiple services.

  14. Most tutors or coaches may not tutor all courses. For example, it is challenging to select more than 2500 courses from the list for every writing center tutor and deselect the content-based courses that tutors do not tutor. Adding this option will prevent the writing center tutors' slots from showing up when students want to book content-based courses.

  15. Please make a way for tutors to send reports to the instructor right from the Session Assessment. We used to contract with TutorTrac, and one feature they had that we really liked was that the tutor could leave notes/assessment on the session, click "save," and then have the option to email the instructor via a button right in the same window. This was very convenient!

  16. There is already a global option for this. It would be nice to be able to set this option for individual tutors. For example if a tutor wants to only do 6 appointments per week but has availability for 10 slots, then have a setting so that once that tutor is scheduled for 6 appointments there can be no more appointments scheduled that week.

  17. Under Manage Center, it would be great to have the option to see "All" under location, the same way we can for Session Logs. Trying to see who is in each of our centers would be much easier if it was all on one screen. Currently, it allows us to select, but shows "Location is not valid."

  18. Let students book a weekly appointment for the whole semester even when the system is to allow students to boo a session only up to 14 days in advance. For students who want to book weekly for the whole semester it is a real hassle to have to come back every week or two to rebook and maybe find their time has been taken. However, the 14 day limit is important to prevent students who book only every now and then to book too far in advance and then forget. We know the system sends reminders, but students often do…

  20. We offer a variety of services that take place in various rooms, not just in our center but across campus. I would be great to have the options to input room locations to specific content areas so that when students get the reminder email they know where the workshops or tutoring sessions is located.
