Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

Thanks for sending us your feedback!

  1. Our nursing program has 12 classes all first year students should be registered to in out program, second year has 13 classes, etc. This would save us time creating the import files manually to register all these students in each individual course/subject area/classes.

  4. It would help if there was a bulk sign-in/sign-out upload of .csv file feature for a specific center via the Data Exchange tool. These sessions tend to be either online or held in a space without a sign-in computer.

  5. At our high schools, due to the #minutes per class and the 7 minute passing periods, appointments are not set on a 15 minute interval, but rather vary from 25 minutes, to 20 minutes, to 15 minutes. It would be great to customize the exact time schedule (across all students for a center) so that students can sign up for the actual appointment time that corresponds to their bell schedule. (eg: 7:15, 7:40, 8:00, 8:20, 8:40, 9:15, 9:35... 10:55, 11:10, 11:30, 11:45...)

  6. We can already define the times that appointments are available at the Single Center account we have but no way to limit when walk-in or drop-in tutoring is available.

  7. Right now the time blocks are in 30 minute increments at the college level. Some centers want to have 30 minute appointments and some want 60 or 90 minute appointments. This means for anything longer than 30 minutes they have to choose the first half hour block. If we show that the appointment is available for the 60 minute appointment, the student may book the second half hour and miss the first half hour of the appointment.

  8. This sign in station does not ask or require the selection of an advisor. So in the Intake System, the Waiting For is blank:

The student is then signed in with 'your selection':

At the "Students In" section, it shows the advisor of your selection:

Here is the problem. When you double click the student and choose Back In Line, the Student Selection shows the same advisor as Your Selection. The Student Selection should be blank as no advisor was chosen.

  9. According to your 8/3/2010 blog it was under development and now it is 7 years later. Many, if not most, ERPs run in Linux. I can't imagine my institution is the only one not happy about having to have an intermediary Windows server for transferring files. Thank you for listening.

  11. We have two issues with the “Staff Pay Report” (Tutor Hours Report) in PDF. The first issue is that the report creates blank. The second issue is that, after printing the blank page, sometimes the first line is overlapping the second line.

  12. There are actually a few ideas with this but it all revolves around appointment creation.

    1. Creating Appointments via New by Staff
When you select a center the Staff section should be filtered by which staff work in that center. Currently you can select a center and pick ANY staff even if that staff does not work in that center.

    2. Creating Appointment via Wizard
After choosing subject area the next selection should be center instead of services. This way when you get to the services screen only the services for that center show instead of showing every service. By adding the…

  14. Since we have tutors for different content areas (Math, Science, Business, and Computer Science), I would like to be able to generate a daily viewer by the content area of the tutors. It would also work to make the option to select multiple tutors when looking at the tutor schedule. That way I can let students know when there would be someone in the center to help with a certain subject.

  15. I would like to be able to put "In Class" and "Gone for today" as options for the tutor's schedule so that students and I can see when they're not available to work due to class and when they're not able to make it in for their shift. The only current options are "Available" "Not Available" and "Not Working".

  16. For our tutoring assessment forms, we don't have the ability to include section numbers, and many of our instructors teach multiple sections of the same class, so there is a lot of leg work in including the section number on our side or theirs.

Being able to choose what information I can get in my reports would be incredibly beneficial to the instructors and myself. At the moment, I find most of the pre-determined reports to be lacking in vital information.

  19. It would be useful to have a graphic representation of the number of appointments scheduled for each tutor for an entire term and not just within a 30 day window.

  20. When students reach the survey question, all they see is a blank with the down arrow...once they click it, they see the options. I would prefer to eliminate the first click and see the options immediately.
