Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. This would make this easier to repeat the same survey for another time period. This could be replaced with the idea "to add a date filter on all the reports."

  4. When scheduling a new appt, the student should be provided an additional option to choose the location or room. Oftentimes, tutors are in multiple locations.

  5. When student cancels an appointment center admin are not notified so they are now aware of the schedule changes.

    Add ability for e-mail templates for the cancellation notification includes a CC field to copy the center admin

  8. The new recurring feature is nice, but we need to be able to reserve specific times to only be used for weekly appointments. As is, students or staff can schedule appointments for coming weeks that will block a spot so that it can't be used for a weekly appointment. It would be best if we could designate these types of appointments in the schedule.

  9. We have lab courses that students must enroll in to receive tutoring, and we need to manage the hours students accrue in these courses. We need to be able to also manage the tutoring services for the academic courses, and currently only one can be chosen by the student at sign-in.

  10. Right now you need to look at a completed report, take a quick note of how many classes had no attendance, and factor that in to your total count of absences. The same way a one time meeting/class is added, you should be able to exclude a date from being in the final to adjust this final tally.

  11. We have multiple offices using Accudemia. Each has its own appointment scheduling policies. Some centers allow students to schedule back-to-back appointments other do not. Allowing this restriction (and all others concerning appointments, for that matter) to be overwritten at the center level would allow each office to determine the best way for students to make appointments.

  12. Often Instructors do not login to the Accudemia software and/or do not have time to login to Accudemia to initiate the referrals. So what will happen is the student will have to initiate the referral themselves. Currently most schools have them e-mail the Accudemia staff. It would be nice if there was a referral form published on a webpage that students could fill-out to request services in the form of a referral to center staff.

  13. Allow students to schedule or sign-up for asynchronous online tutoring. Synchronous would be good but more involved. A good start would be for students to be able to submit a file that tutor could review and give feedback on asynchronously. Competing products have this feature, and it seems to make sense for Accudemia to add it.

  17. Students often make changes to their profile and don't remember what they have done. The only useful thing they change is their pass word, which is allowed at log in page by clicking "Forgot my password"

    For students I like an ability to remove "My Profile" and "My Settings"

  18. We have Writing Lab appointments and they ONLY want students to be able to schedule appointments maximum one hour. We allow students to schedule for longer than one hour in each other subject area.

  20. Basically I believe we should move the scope setting to all user types except possibly students. As well we should be able to set them to multiple areas across the campus.
