Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

Thanks for sending us your feedback!

  2. It would be great if we could set the maximum number of hours each individual tutor could work. This would be extremely helpful for those departments that hire undergraduate students as tutors as they typically do not work the full 20 hours/week in one department on campus and we need to ensure they do not exceed the 20 hours/week cap.

  3. Can only search by one status currently. Would be helpful to select multiple criteria such as new, follow-up, requires attention but not closed, for example.

  4. Currently there is an option to set maximum hours or maximum number of appointments per week per center. This is overall, regardless of the courses tutored or services used. Making a restriction per class is a fairer approach since some students take only one class and others take up to five (and should be able to get more help). Centers may also want to set limits per service and/or limits per tutor. For example, our policy is to permit 3 appointments per week per class, but only 2 appointments per week per class with the same tutor. We're having to…

  5. Instead of requiring the student (or staff) to click "View All" to get to the Edit/Cancel/Reschedule options, put those buttons right in the Appointment Details panel that opens when the appointment is clicked on the main screen. I've had students request a cancellation by typing in the appointment notes since they did not find the cancel button.

  6. Add the option to permit specific users or account types (e.g. all tutors) to view student email and phone numbers, but not the ability to edit them. This could be a view-only version of the "User Accounts" screen, or on its own screen.

  8. Make the contents of the description box in the tutor hours available to pull in the confirmation email. Also it would be helpful if we could create confirmation emails by tutor or a group of tutors rather than just by center.

  9. If a tutor's schedule shows that they are normally available for up to four students at a time, but we want to limit some services to only one student at a time, we should be able to edit that in the services settings.

  10. In the same way that an appointment subject (ex. MATH 1530) is determined by the first person to make an appointment, the mode of delivery should also be determined by the first person. For example, if we allow up to four students and the first student selects in person appointment, the next student should not be able to choose virtual appointment from the list of services.

  11. Tutors have been asking for a summary report that shows the times and services on their schedule. When creating a schedule all services are checked by default and not all are displayed on the first page. Tutors often forget to go to the next screen to see the additional services selected and then students make appointments for the wrong tutor.

To correct their schedules they have to click on each timeslot to see what services are selected.

A report would allow us to see the errors and avoid the inconvenience and confusion for both students and tutors. It would also…

  12. Enroll Student Groups in a Course similar to AccuSQL instead of importing an enrollment import or manually selecting 100+ students.

  13. Our program operates on a grant year calendar and I would like to save 7/1/2021 - 6/30/2022 as a custom date range so that I don't have to select those dates every time I want to pull up student log records. I thought I was able to do that last year as I have a custom range named school year 2020-2021 but I am unable to replicate it this year.

  14. Adding this option will make the appointment schedulers behave differently for an Admin vs. a Student. The Student will only see the services that we allow whereas the Admin will see all the services. Alternatively, Accudemia could allow the New Appointment (Admin) scheduler to make "recurring appointments" and "group appointments" for students (just like the student scheduler).

  15. During the summer, we have a long session and two shorter sessions that all overlap. My tutors are only able to put their schedules in manually week-by-week because if they use the term mode, it puts them in for the entire summer session and allows people to schedule appointments with them when their course is actually not in session. It takes us a long time to input their schedules manually in the exception mode.

  17. Our virtual services include some tutors who have sessions using Google Chat and we would like to include some how-to information in the appointment emails. Other colleges could have different information related to tutors that is pertinent to appointments. If a Description field could be added and made available in Email Templates, it would enable us to provide that tutor-information to students without extra communications.

  19. I would like to have the ability to create a unique link for a sign-in station and not the cookie method. We use cheap Chromebooks as sign-in station computers and when the Chromebooks restart, they lose the cookie due to the kiosk mode we are using. I can set up the Chromebook to automatically load a predetermined link for each center using the google admin console. By using a unique link I would not have to set it up every time it reboots.

  20. For example, my writing tutors could have a checklist of common writing issues so they can indicate what was worked on. Coaching sessions need their own sort of assessment as well. All of these happen in the same physical center but the services are very distinct.
