Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  2. When a student is making an appointment in the Appointment Scheduler, the field "Center:" should filter the field "Subject area" to ONLY the subject areas offered at the chosen center.

  3. We have some issues about improving the Accudemia Sign In Screen. Our goal is to avoid confusion for our students whom automatically select “Guest Sign In” instead of the “Arrow” for sign in. The tracking information that we collected is incorrect for the reason that some students to have sign in again in the correct form in order to get tutoring. However, the guest tracking information continues in the system, so it is double

  4. This option would allow students to share a file that they may have needed to complete for the appointment or tutors to share resources critical to the tutoring about to take place.

  5. This way, when students are making an appointment, they can see what classes are offered at that specific center and they can choose from the list. This will limit the confusion if the student does not type in the course correctly and cannot find what he or she is looking for.

  6. You already have this report with visits so it should be very easy to add it by unique visitors.
    Add Report: Unique Visitor by Day. Should exist under traffic analysis Under the traffic analysis, (Student Reports> List based> visit by week)

  7. We have Service types that we use internally but do not want students to see on the sign-in screen for walk-ins. We would like a way to hide these services so students do not get overwhelmed by options or choose the wrong service type upon sign-in.

    The best report would be the Tutor Activity report since the staff do not select courses when they sign-in.  We do have tasks as filters since they can select those items.

  11. When we are assigning the tutors subject areas in Accudemia it is difficult to quickly find the subjects because that page does not display the Subject Area Prefix+Code (i.e. MAT-101). I think it would be a great help if that column was added to this screen. :)

    If the imports include this information as part of the name it will show up in this screen or when assigning manually you can use the codes to find the courses.

  13. Student Alternate IDs can be included in an upload. It would be great to be able to do this with instructor alternate IDs as well. Our instructors typically use an alternate and not their ID number for systems. Most don't even know it. Doing this manually seems tedious and unnecessary.

  14. Currently, Cast Screen (under Manage Center) only shows students waiting in line.

    Students often panic and get confused when their name disappears. They think they got kicked out of line. Usually, this means an advisor has signed them in and they are going to be called shortly (which they can't see and causes a lot of front desk traffic about where their name went or if there in line).

    It would be helpful for students to be able to see a waiting line and a currently being seen/check-in section.

    1. Surveys should have an email for the survey to go out.

    2. Having a multiple "Show at" selection option would be great.

    Example: Student is attending tutoring sessions because of an upcoming exam. We want to measure the effectiveness of our tutoring session. A survey goes out immediately after the session, but then another survey can go out 1 week later to see how well the student did on the exam.

  15. For our drop-in tutoring, tutees add their names to the Waiting Line. When a tutor is available, they sign the tutee in. It would be VERY convenient for the tutor to have the ability to return a tutee back into the Tutees Waiting field versus having the tutee get up, go over to the sign-in station and add their name back to the queue. We have 4 centers and 1 lobby.

  16. There are 5 specific appointment emails that go out. These 2 with pretty much with every appointment:
    1. Appointment Confirmation to Student (goes out when created)
    2. Appointment Reminder to Student
    And these (if the situation occurs):
    1. Appointment Rescheduled to Student
    2. Appointment Restored to Student
    3. Appointment Cancelled to Student

    We would like a template that sends out when appointment notes are added. For example: If a tutor wanted to share resources before or even after the appointment.

  17. There are days in a term when all classes are cancelled (weather days, planning days, school holidays, term breaks, etc.) and there no classes. While the classes can have exceptions at the class level, there should be the capability to have an exception at the school level. Otherwise, the Accudemia reports show an absence for those days.

  19. I am deploying a campus-wide student attendance-tracking system. I will be using iPads and iAccu to serve as attendance kiosks. With 30+ classrooms across campus, I would like the capability to have iAccu auto-sync at the end of the day, or for Accudemia to have the capability to request the iPads to sync.
