Accudemia Suggestions

Hi Accudemia Users! Each Accudemia user can add requests and/or vote on existing requests. You can give each request 1 to 3 votes to reflect its importance. Note that each user is limited to 10 votes, so make sure to use your votes on your most important requests. Requests with more votes have higher implementation priority.

Important: Use your academic email address to vote. Those from generic addresses (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, etc) will be removed. Voting multiple users from the same college will not give additional priority.

  1. It would be great if Accudemia had the ability to limit the number of appointments that a student can make per day. Currently, you can only limit the number of appointments made with a specific tutor. However, some students will make multiple appointments with multiple tutors thereby limiting the overall tutoring availability for other students.

  2. It is extremely difficult to enter courses which tutors can tutor. As you enter more and more courses, it becomes increasingly difficult to scroll through the list of courses because they appear off screen. Also, the courses have to be entered in every semester. It would be much easier if: (1) Courses could be stored and adjusted as needed, and/or (2) you could click checkboxes next to courses in the system and call them up by subject.

    We have options that allow you to copy the tutor's assignments from Semester to Semester so you can simply add additional courses they've been recently assigned.

  3. Tutors have been asking for a summary report that shows the times and services on their schedule. When creating a schedule all services are checked by default and not all are displayed on the first page. Tutors often forget to go to the next screen to see the additional services selected and then students make appointments for the wrong tutor.

    To correct their schedules they have to click on each timeslot to see what services are selected.

    A report would allow us to see the errors and avoid the inconvenience and confusion for both students and tutors. It would also…

  4. Add the option to permit specific users or account types (e.g. all tutors) to view student email and phone numbers, but not the ability to edit them. This could be a view-only version of the "User Accounts" screen, or on its own screen.

  5. It would be helpful to have a report that generates showing the weekly or daily tutor schedule in a printer friendly format that we could have available to hand out to students so they can see when a tutor is scheduled to be available.

  6. Currently students choose the service first and then class. This is problematic because the student may not be allowed to do that service if its not available to their class. However, there is no message or explanation that comes up. It allows them to choose the service but then doesn't allow them to choose a class but with no explanation of why they can't choose their class. It would make more sense to choose the class first and then students would only see (and only be able to choose) services that are available to that class.

  7. I suggest you implement a health indicator that summarizes the status of all Outlook 365 integrations for tutors. Synchronization of tutoring appointments and free/busy time is key to a smooth experience for tutors and students alike. Prompt notification when a problem with Outlook 365 integration will allow center administrators to contact Accudemia support early on for prompt resolution.

  8. It would be useful if when a tutor is blocked for a certain service, they can't be booked for a separate service in the same hour. For instance, a tutor gets booked for an online appointment and the max attendees is 3, currently the tutor can then get booked for face to face for the other 2 slots. This would be confusing and we would prefer to separate to make it easier on the tutees and tutors. We would still like to offer those times for both face to face and online, but have the tutor be bookable strictly for…

  9. For a variety of reasons, we would find it helpful to be able to suspend or pause access to Accudemia services for students. We can currently inactivate them but that inactivation will be removed overnight with our data upload.

  11. I export the csv versions of these reports and import them into my Angel LMS's attendance tracking capability. I currently have to three imports. A combined version would make the process quicker and would elliminate the duplicate enteries from the of students on the attendance and tardy reports.

  17. When staff member's have multiple webpages open, they sometimes do not notice they have someone waiting if they get busy with other things. If a sound and small pop up window appeared on their computer, they will be able to respond sooner.

  18. Maybe the status could change to a different color so the assigned person knows there are multiple referrals for that student. Maybe the initiator of the referral a could receive some option to link his referral to an existing referral--something more indicative than adding other instructors as recipients.

  19. Basically if the referral reaches a point where it goes to the "Requires Attention" we should have an optional Recipient that only gets these emails. This may be a supervisor who needs to find out why the referral has gone so long without a followup. We set our referrals to 2 weeks and it would be nice to have that sent to the director if the tutor or person did not follow up on the referral because 2 weeks should be more than enough time to follow up.

  20. I noticed multiselect is what Accudemia uses as a "Select All." which has to be enabled first and then select all. Make it a simple "Select All" and have this option across all grids in the system. Another hassle is the 15 rows per page. I would like to be able to see more rows or have the option of like 25, 50, 75, or 100 rows per page.
