Add a nickname field for users that, if present, replaces the user's name everywhere.
Add a nickname (or alias or alternate name) field for users that have a preferred name other than their legal name. For example, a tutor named Margaret may go by Peggy or a Johnathan may go by Jack. Automatically imported names would be hard to fix since they'd get overwritten on the next import, but the nickname field could be used on an as needed basis. If a nickname is entered, it should replace the user's first and/or last name on the site and in emails.

provide all the appointment info when using the Outlook365 Integration
When using the Outlook 365 Integration please have all the appointment details in the body of the calendar invite similar to the body of the email with the "Appointment.ics" calendar invite. We are hoping that the body of the calendar invite can include the Student Email, Student ID, Services, Subject Area, and Notes. This will help us by not needing to get email notifications since our Outlook calendar will be up to date and include all the information we need to reach out to the student.

Allow different news items to show based on user role
News items on the home page are the same for all users. Would like to have the ability to show news items that can be different based on user roles. (e.g., tutors would see news about something they need to do or complete whereas students would see news that pertains directly to them and/or the center.
2 votesYou could setup a new Global Channel per user role in the Social Wall so they can see these custom announcements/posts.

add "Preferred Name" (default name) to user accounts
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are all critical to the field of public education as the student populace grows increasingly diverse. I think a "Preferred Name" feature within the User Accounts menu would be a critical addition. The "Preferred Name" feature would take precedence over the current "First Name" option, and it would be used as the display name when the client's name or tutor's name is displayed to another user (such as on the scheduling menu, upcoming appointments window, confirmation emails, etc.).
Effectively, the "First Name" field would serve as the "Legal Name". At my institution, students' legal names are…

An email template that sends out when the Appointment Notes are added
There are 5 specific appointment emails that go out. These 2 with pretty much with every appointment:

2. Appointment Reminder to Student
And these (if the situation occurs):
1. Appointment Rescheduled to Student
2. Appointment Restored to Student
3. Appointment Cancelled to StudentWe would like a template that sends out when appointment notes are added. For example: If a tutor wanted to share resources before or even after the appointment.

We should also have an auto-refresh on the Appointments > View All screen
We should also have an auto-refresh on the Center Attendance > Appointments > View All screen similar to the Center Attendance > Manage Center screen. This would ensure that no-shows are updated on the screen and do not look like they are still no-shows just because the appointment information has not updated on this screen.

Make Service-specific default appointment times
This would allow us to have a different default time for students to make appointments per service. "Tutoring" appointment could be "30 minutes" by default but "Skill Building Session" could be "1 hour" by default as an example.

Filter appointments by service.
When looking at all appointments for a Center, you should be able to sort by service type. It's so much more useful than by student or tutor.

Would like to be able to have the accudmemia appointments automatically go onto the advisor calendar. Some advisors don’t click the ics file and they book other meetings.

We would like to be able to set specific appointment times by Center and by Service
We would like to be able to set specific appointment times by Center and by Service. For example, if a student selects that they're here to see a tutor/advisor for Service X (which might take longer like an initial intake appointment), they automatically get 60 minute appointment blocks to choose from vs another student who chooses Service Y (something like perhaps just a question on a course), so they are presented with 30 minute appointment blocks. Thank you!!

V7 - Session Log - Multiple Students
This may be a bug;
Our institution has courses with multiple sections (A,B,C, D, etc.) but it's all one course with different lab times (BIO-101-A, BIO-101-B, etc.)
When we create a session log entry and select multiple students and then select the one course, the system will add them to sections that the student's aren't registered for.
Joe Smith is registered for BIO-101-A Intro to Biology. Jane Doe is registered in BIO-101-B Intro to Biology. Using the above process will put Jane Doe in BIO-101-A instead of BIO-101-B.
1 voteThis can be done but it all depends on the way you import the data in Accudemia. There are Subject Areas/Courses that group the scheduled sections of a class under them. Typically all imported though so no manual intervention is needed.
